Indie Book Basket Giveaway

Last weekend, I attended the Grand Festival of Arts & Books in Fairhope, Alabama. It was an exciting event, and I’m putting together an Indie Book Basket Giveaway to celebrate the Page & Palette bookstore. The details on how to enter this giveaway are listed at the end of this post, but first things first, here are a few highlights from the festival on Saturday. It was exclusive to children's and young adult authors.

Amos Paul Kennedy, Jr. created the commemorative poster, and I was thrilled to get a signed copy and photo:

The Grand Festival of the Arts & Books Program!

The Page & Palette bookstore on Saturday.

I went directly to the children's department...

And spied several books I've been watching for:

These are totally adorable!

I blogged about The Man in the Moon here.

Check out the new book trailer:

I picked up several copies of the next two picture books, and children's author Laura Numeroff was at the Page & Palette to do a book signing:

If You Give a Dog a Donut by Laura Numeroff
Illustrations by Felicia Bond

If you give a dog a donut, he'll ask for some apple juice to go with it.

When you give him the juice, he'll drink it all up.

Then, before you can say "Woof" ... Dog is off on a backyard adventure.

If You Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Numeroff
Illustrations by Felicia Bond

If a hungry little traveler shows up at your house, you might want to give him a cookie. If you give him a cookie, he's going to ask for a glass of milk. He'll want to look in a mirror to make sure he doesn't have a milk mustache, and then he'll ask for a pair of scissors to give himself a trim....

(I blogged about Substitute Creature here.)

The cover is A-M-A-ZING!

Zombie in Love by Kelly DiPucchio
Illustrations by Scott Campbell

Mortimer is looking for love. And he's looking everywhere! He's worked out at the gym (if only his arm wouldn't keep falling off). He's tried ballroom dancing lessons (but the ladies found him to be a bit stiff). He's even been on stalemate.com. How's a guy supposed to find a ghoul? When it seems all hope has died, could the girl of Mortimer's dreams be just one horrifying shriek away?

You know I can't resist giggly-ghoulish creepers .

Mwah-hah!

And now for the Indie Book Basket Giveaway. The items in this basket include two signed books by children’s author Laura Numeroff, a plush mouse, and sweet treats for you to enjoy at storytime:
